My Background

Colleen Stutz, CLU®, ChFC, CASL, RICP, LUTCF

I am a Financial Advisor with Eagle Strategies, LLC, serving the Northern Virginia area.  Originally from St. Louis Missouri, I have been in the Northern Virginia area for over 20 years.    I lived in Hamilton,VA for 5 years now, with my son who is 8 and goes to Hamilton Elementary.

I joined the New York Life family 16 years ago, working closely with customers in the field for 5 years.  For the next eleven years, I applied my skills as a development manager, training New York Life professionals in the Northern Virginia area.   I have reopened my practice to share my expertise with families and business owners. My desire is to have more time with my son and be more involved in my community.

I have a bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science from Maryville University in St. Louis.  Before joining New York Life, I began my career as an actuary with companies including CIGNA Insurance Company, Ernst and Young and the Employee benefits firm of William Mercer.  Actuaries usually work with insurance companies using probability and statistics to determine rates.  I use all that knowledge to be a problem solver for people and business owners.

Neither New York life Insurance Company, not its agents provide tax, legal or accounting advice. Please consult your own tax, legal, or accounting professionals before making any decisions.
